Travel eSIM with Crypto: Buying Airalo Data Without a Bank Card
Install before you fly, switch on when you land, pay in USDT — the eSIM routine for crypto travellers.

Roaming is the travel cost people forget until the bill arrives. An eSIM fixes it for a few dollars — and because Airalo sells gift cards, you can pay for the data with crypto before you leave. Buy the card on GiftQubes with Bitcoin, USDT, USDC or 25+ coins and networks, redeem it as Airalo credit, pick the plan for your destination, and you are connected the moment the plane doors open.
Check the phone first
An eSIM needs an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked phone. That covers most iPhones from the XS and XR onward, Google Pixel 3 and later, recent Samsung Galaxy S and Z models and many others — but a phone locked to a carrier cannot install one. Check your model before buying a plan.
The routine
- Buy the Airalo gift card; redeem the code under Airmoney / credit in the Airalo app.
- Choose a local plan (one country, cheapest), a regional plan (several countries on one trip) or a global plan.
- Install the eSIM over Wi-Fi at home — do not wait for the airport.
- On landing, switch the eSIM line on and turn data roaming on for it; most plans activate on first connection.
- Keep your home SIM for calls and texts if you want them; data goes through the eSIM.
Alternatives and top-ups
Google Fi cards top up a Fi account that roams in 200+ destinations; Lycamobile, Lebara and giffgaff cards keep a UK or European prepaid SIM topped up. All are network-account cards — match the card to the account you hold. For a single trip, Airalo's local plans are usually the cheapest route.
Every connectivity card is in the travel eSIM hub.
