A Lyft gift card is redeemed in the Lyft app as Lyft Cash, a balance that pays for rides — and for Lyft scooters and bikes where they operate — automatically until it runs out. The card is issued in US dollars and is redeemed into a US Lyft account. Lyft Cash does not expire, can be combined with another payment method when a ride costs more than the balance, and is charged for tips and fees on the same ride. It cannot be transferred, withdrawn or used for Lyft Business billing.

In the app
- Open the Lyft app and tap the menu → Payment.

Limits and terms
Redeemable only into a US Lyft account; Lyft Cash pays for rides, scooters and bikes, never expires and can be combined with another payment method. Not transferable, not for Lyft Business, not redeemable for cash. Refunds return as Lyft Cash under Lyft's policy.

If the code does not work
- Enter the code without spaces in Payment → Add gift card.
- The account must be a US Lyft account; the card cannot be redeemed elsewhere.
- If the code says already redeemed, check Payment → Lyft Cash for the balance.
